What is Asthma?
Asthma is a long-term disease of the lungs which creates a difficulty in breathing. Clove: Clove is considered as a brilliant home remedy in treating asthma at home and should be taken twice in a day for effective results. Boil 5 to 6 cloves in half a glass of water and add a 1tbs. Of honey in it.
Mustard Oil: Mustard oil with camphor in it gives an instant relief in asthma. Take a mustard oil and make it warm. Massage over your chest with mustard and camphor oil, till you get a release from asthma.
Ginger: We know that ginger is beneficial for your health and body. Well, it is likewise active against asthmatic actions. Extract the juice of ginger and mix it with honey and consume it 3-4 times a day for helpful results.
Black Tea/ Coffee: Yes caffeine is not good for the people who suffer from diseases. But it has some good effects on asthma. It unblocks the airways and makes way for air to enter and exit easily with those passages. But make sure to drink black tea or coffee only, but do not intake more than 3 cups in a day.
Eucalyptus: Essential oil of Eucalyptus or its leaf can help you in keeping asthma away and releasing from the surviving one. Take a steam with few drops of eucalyptus essential oil or leaf in a cup of boiling water. This will open up the nasal and air passages, and air can pass through easily.
Figs: It is also an effective home remedy for asthma. Eat some figs every morning on an empty stomach. But to eat them make sure you soak them overnight. Also, you can drink the fig water to have an effective release from the issues of asthma.
Onion: Onion contains anti-inflammatory properties in it, though they are shown to be helpful in unblocking the air passages. If you have asthma, then you must consume one onion a day.
Fruits: Fruits like strawberries, papaya, oranges, and blueberries have proven benefits to people who are suffering from asthma.
Lemons: They’re enriched with vitamin C, and in past years it was said that lemons should be taken with water and sugar every day to get relief from the disease.
Honey: Honey is one of the best home remedies for asthma. You can drink a 1tbs. Of honey, with hot water and lemon at least 2-3 times a day or you can simply inhale its essence. Or before sleeping, you can mix 1tbs. Honey with cinnamon powder and eat it.
Fishes: Fishes like tuna, salmon, and sardines can be beneficial in treating the difficulty of asthma. The nutrition in it makes your lungs stronger and better and helps them to fight asthma and treat effectively.
Indian Gooseberries or Amla: Gooseberries are very useful for asthma. Eat them raw, boiled or you can crush it and add some honey to them.
Parsley Leaf: Another good herbal remedy for asthma coughs. Make a tea from parsley leaves. It will calm the throat and chest congestion.
Bitter Gourd: Extract the bitter gourd juice and add a mixture of basil leaf and honey to it. This home remedy helps to treat asthmatic attacks.
Herbal Tea: Herbal tea with a few drops of lime juice and ginger will help you to solve the purpose. Herbal tea which is made from licorice root is an effective treatment for asthma.
Fennel Seeds: To get rid of asthma outbreaks eat fennel seeds on a daily basis. It can help to enhance the lung muscles that can help the patient to have sufficient oxygen easily.
Warm Milk: We already know the other benefits of milk. But warm milk with an equal amount of olive oil and honey provides natural asthma relief. Along with three garlic cloves, drink this milk on an empty stomach every morning.
Black Pepper: Chew 2-3 black pepper at night before going to bed. It is also one of the beneficial remedies to treat asthma.
Carom Seed: It is commonly known as “ajwain” and also known as Bishop’s weed. Carom seeds are helpful in treating mild asthma and perform as a nebulizer by widening the bronchial pipes in the lungs.
